These batteries (Eneloop) can be purchased from Dick Smith or Jacar seperately at around $5 ea. and soldered up into a five pack (giving 6 volts). Remember they have to be wired in series, that is positive to negative. Use gaffa tape to bind the pack together. Make sure you use a high heat soldering iron and battery terminals are cleaned with an alcohol before soldering. Just touch solder on terminals with joining wire. Use an old battery lead to plug battery into the Rx. If servo lead is used...ensure the battery polarity is correct before you cut out third wire.

By doing up the packs yourself..you will enjoy a saving of around $15 per pack off retail..

I would have more faith in putting a battery pack together myself than trust a so called "professional" to do the work for me. Who knows how a "professional" pack has been assembled?

As you so rightly say Mr.Lonz..when flying a $10,000 model, you want to be assured all mechanics & electrics are the best available.
