Mugi Help
I am now the proud owner of Col Buckleys old Mugi. Unfortunately it came "naked" without servos or motor.
After going through all my boxes with spare parts I think I found some suitable parts but I would appreciate some "experts" opinion before I put everything together....
What I have are:
2x Hyperion Digital micro servo DS11AMB Metal Geared
1x Scorpion HK2221-10 Motor (3000 RPM/V Heli Motor, 440 Watts max power
)
1x Scorpion 60A ESC
plus the usual 3s 2200mAh LiPos
The components may be a bit on the expensive side for a Mugi but hey, that's what you find if you go through boxes of heli parts
Where I'm at a loss is prop selection.... I can punch in some numbers in the calculator from Jody's post but I have no clue what to look for??
Any tips what a suitable prop for this setup would be?
Thanks
Peter

Re: Mugi Help
I would think a 6 x 4 would be ideal and give good performance. Remember to mount it in reverse as it's a pusher.

Re: Mugi Help
Thanks Col. Have a small selection of props to test. Test flight will be tomorrow
Noticed as well that the Mugi is almost 50% heavier than the typical weight they quote on the Mugi web site. Looks almost like you built the armoured version.... Might come handy for the first flight attempts though
