The slower setting the epoxy the stronger joints it makes. 30 minute is stronger than 6 minute, 24 hour is stronger than 30 minute. I used to work with a fellow who had been a chemist at Ciba-Geigy who manufacture the Araldite epoxy adhesives marketed by Selleys. He said the guys in the lab there used to call 5 minute Araladite “Clag” because they thought it had about as much strength as that well-known brand of office paste!
