Ron Clark gives us an update on the drainage work:

We have completed the drainage on the field and with all the wet weather
we have had it appears to be working.

There have been two silt trap pits installed. One is just off the field in
the longer grass to the south eastern part of the field. The other pit is
on the field about 3 meters from the southern edge opposite the pilot
area. This pit is covered with a perspex lid. There has also been
installed 115 meters of 100 millimeter diameter ag pipes laid in trenches
and back-filled with 1/2 aggregate. These pipes run from the wet areas to
the pits. The pits are also connected by the ag pipe, the water collected
runs out of the eastern pit into the original irrigation pipe that was
installed many years ago. This irrigation pipe runs down to the old pump
near the eastern dam. This old pump connected to the pipe that was used to irrigate
the field after the turf was laid. We managed to re-use this pipe - we disconnected
the pump and used the pipe to drain the water from the main pit at the eastern end,
saving a lot of work.

The area around the pit on the field will be tidied up after the area has
settled.
