If you are a regular visitor you may have noticed that our web site was very slow in the last days. The problem is a routing issue somewhere in the US where our server is located.

Unfortunately we cannot do much more than complain to our ISP who in turn points his finger to the US.

I don't have much hope that this will be fixed over Easter so I have now moved the web site to our backup server. This should give you more reliable access but with reduced download speed.

Once the access problem is resolved it will move back to our main server.

For the curious, our backup server is an Apple Mac Mini Server located under my desk and connected to the Internet through a standard (albeit fast business grade) ADSL2+ connection.

Should you find something that does not work as expected then please let me know via email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..

Happy Easter and enjoy the latest pictures and articles

The pluvers seem to have dissapeared now spairing our models. I wonder if this is so due to the arrival of the Kookaburras. I believe Kookaburras feast on Pluver young. Maybe the pluvers may never return !  Here's hopeing :-).

The Hawkes are circling and threatening to gliders. Beware. Try to fly above them if you can, they hate that and usually clear off.
